He sits so quietly staring at the flowers
The lilies, the daffodils, the begonias
He looks so peaceful
His face sparkles in the light of the sun;
As semblance of diamond put to light
He looks toward me with a smile upon his face
My heart starts to race
So rapidly, so fiercely, so loudly
That you could hear it from a mile away
He begins to sway his head from side to side
As if moving to the rhythm visible music.
He returns his attention to his garden with cheerfulness in his eyes
But all too suddenly disappeared
His face
His smile
